Delhi

India Gate
Indian residents walk towards the India Gate in New Delhi (left). This modern area also
contains the Parliment and President's House nearby.
The Red Fort
Below, the dramatic Red Fort is a place where India celebrates its Independence Day. Within this palatial fort the Rang Mahal, Hamaam and Mumtaz
Mahal (which houses a museum), and the exquisite Moti Masjid or Pearl Mosque are noteworthy. Each evening a sound and light show recreates events
of India's history, particularly those connected with the Red Fort.

Qutb Minar
Close-up details below of the intricately carved Qutab Minar shown in photo left.
