General Information, Terms & Conditions Costs

Prices for group tours are based on double occupancy. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will match you with a roommate if available. If none is available or if you prefer a single room, a single supplement fee will be applicable.

Price includes: hotel accommodations, airport transfers, all land transportation, tour guide, all entrance fees, meals where indicated, all interstate taxes and permits.

Price does not include: airport taxes, tips, any items of a personal nature, additional expenses resulting from the delay or extension of a trip due to weather, political disputes, sickness or other causes beyond our reasonable control. Tipping your driver and guide at the end of the trip is normal, but entirely at your discretion.

Payment
A $500 non-refundable deposit is requested to complete your reservation. When the deposit is received, a confirmation packet will be sent with trip preparation information including health tips, packing suggestions, visa information and much more. The balance payment is due 75 days prior to departure, however, in some cases the balance may be due 90 days prior to departure. Each tour will indicate balances due date.

Trip Cancellation Insurance is highly recommended. We work with Travelex. Cost varies according to your trip package. Please inquire if interested and we will send you the brochure with application form.

Cancelled Trips
Spirit of India reserves the right to cancel any group trip due to inadequate sign-up, which makes the trip economically infeasible to operate. Notification will be given at least 30 days prior to departure. A full refund will be given or you may choose to transfer to another tour. Please note, we are happpy to run the tour with just one person, but supplement fees apply.

Customized Travel: Itinerary Development/Modification Fee
Spirit of India offers one complimentary suggested itinerary, based on your request, to serve as a starting point for fine-tuning your private travel plans. We will work with you to shape the itinerary until it is exactly what you envisioned. The fee for itinerary development is $250, which is payable in advance after you have reviewed the complimentary itinerary, should you wish to continue your tour development with us. This fee is credited toward the cost of your tour.

If, after working with us through several versions of your itinerary, you decide to travel independently or use another company, the fee for itinerary development is non-refundable. The itinerary, with complete details, is yours to keep and use as you will. If you want to travel with us at a later unspecified date within 1 year of the itinerary development, this fee will be credited to your account.

After your approval and deposit payment of $500 per person are received, changes requested to the itinerary are subject to a $50 modification fee per each change request.

Limitation of Liability
Spirit of India, its owners, agents and affiliated companies act only as agents for hotels, transportation companies, land operators and suppliers of travel services and assume no liability in connection with the operation or service of any transportation vehicle or hotel which may be used for services to Spirit of India trip members.

Spirit of India and its operators and agents will assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, irregularity or additional costs resulting directly or indirectly from any of the following causes: weather, failure of any means of transportation to adhere to schedules, quarantines, strikes, civil disturbances, theft, government regulations, or changes in transport and lodging beyond our reasonable control.

Spirit of India reserves the right at any time, either prior to or after departure, to, in its good-faith discretion, change or reprice any tour, including but not limited to the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary, to substitute hotels or leaders, or change any means of conveyance without notice and without allowance of refund, with the liability of increased costs--if any--to be borne by trip members. Spirit of India reserves the right to change any itinerary at any time when it is deemed advisory for the safety of the group or to comply with government restrictions.
