The natural beauty of South India dazzles the senses and a glimpse into the daily devotional life opens the heart. The joy and childlike wonder shining in the eyes of all is a blessing to perceive. Our journey takes us to some of the greatest and most spiritually charged of southern India's temples, the Mysore Palaces, idyllic beaches, and visits to ashrams and yoga centers.

Special Highlights include:

  • Daily Yoga led by Sheeba Arjunan Krishnammal
  • A priviledged visit with Pattabi Jois at his center in Mysore--depending on his schedule
  • A visit to Amachi Ashram on the Kerala backwaters
  • A stay at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala
  • An optional extension is offered to Sai Baba's ashram in Puttaparthy

We will have the opportunity to experience traditional dancers of the Bharata Natyam form and the Kathikali form of Kerala, while staying in the tranquil coastal hotels. Both forms are distinctly different, spectacularly colorful and dramatically entertaining.

There will be time to relax, go shopping and rest.

This pilgrimage is designed to give a full experience of what South India has to offer. This year, in an effort to accommodate varying needs of our travelers, we have created the itinerary in such a way as to allow the traveler to attend the first 13 days or the complete tour of 21 days.

Come with an open mind as India is unpredictable, where the unexpected and on the spot decisions and conditions may affect the stated itinerary. This freedom of attitude will help to make your journey a living experience and allow for unforeseen changes to take place. Ideally you will be in good health and enjoy walking as well as be prepared for taking long journeys by road in a comfortable ac minibus.

Accommodation is in comfortable mid range hotels (Indian standard).
