Books We Offer

Hinduism, An Introduction
Dharam Vir Singh, Travel Wheels, Jaipur, 1991 $16. + S/H

I met the author of this book four years ago in India. The book is a wonderful resource, listing all the various gods and goddesses with illustrations and a great flow chart that shows the lineage. In very clear language, Mr. Vir Singh describes each god and goddess with an illustration and a brief statement on its history and value in the Hindu religion. Also contains sections on art and sciences, festivals, rituals, sacred pilgrimage spots, yoga and meditation. The book adds to one's understanding when viewing hindu art or when in temples. A lightweight paperback.
